Reverse Pressure Softening

Have you heard of this technique? When your milk first comes in, its normal to feel really engorged. All that engorgement can make it a struggle for your baby to latch on, which is why its a good idea you are here reading this

you basically take two fingers and pushdown around the outside of your areola, applying a little bit of pressure, pushing back towards your chest wall. this movement will push some of the fluid back, which will soften the area around your nipple and enable your baby to latch.

you might have to do this a few times, depending on how engorged you are, and do not be afraid to do this every feed until you are not so swollen
